Auf Nicoles Blog gibt es ein tolles Rezept für Chai-Tee-Sirup. Der ist recht schnell und einfach zu machen und ein kleiner Schuss davon in ein Glas heisse Milch schmeckt absolut wunderbar - wie eine 'richtige' Chai Latte im Café.

I tried a recipe from Nicoles blog for chai tea syrup. It's easy and quick to make. Put a little shot of the syrup into a glass of hot milk and enjoy! :)
(Also a good idea as a quick christmas gift, I think!)

250 ml of water with
6 cardamom pods (I took cardamom powder)
4 cloves
1 tablespoon of fennel seeds
2 star anise
1 stick of cinnamon
2 small pieces of fresh ginger

let this simmering for 10 minutes

add 5 tea bags of earl grey or other black tea
and infuse for 5 minutes
take the tea bags out of the fluid

add 200 gr of sugar (i took brown sugar)
and boil the fluid for 5 minutes at high heat so that it becomes a syrup consistence
put the syrup through a cullender to separate the spices
fill the syrup into a nice bottle and let it cool
